I like Sambo because they have a heavy focus on leg locks, which BJJ seems to kind of neglect until the later levels. I think it's important to shore up your weaknesses, and I'm excited to say I've found the only Sambo dude in Seattle. Also, it's interesting to learn about their practices and customs, like how their uniforms are different (they use what's called a kurtka), and how they allow guys to just wear shorts with the kurtkas instead of full pants.
